Race #2: Thunder in the Canyon (06/17/08)  After what seemed like an eternity since the 2008 season started, the SDBA traveled to Lubbock, Texas for the "2008 Thunder in the Canyon."  The Bad Company team arrived in Lubbock on Thursday and on Friday, just before the "Show and Shine," appeared on the FOX 34 NEWS in Lubbock.  On Saturday, it was time to get down to business.  In qualifying round 1, Bad Company & War Party lined up together.  War Party stopped the clocks in 8.07 seconds.  Bad Company stopped the clocks in 8.27 seconds, as a burst panel blew at three-quarter track.  Back in the pits, the team went to work trying to diagnose the cause of the problem.  In Round 2 of qualifying, War Party stopped the clocks in 7.36 seconds... while Bad Company's burst panel woes weren't over yet.  Sunday morning everyone thought Mother Nature had other ideas about racing.  The winds were so strong that the Top Alcohol Flats didn't get to race until late afternoon.  In the Finals, Bad Company's burst panel troubles continued as War Party took the win.

The PINK is BACK!! (04/28/08)  The SDBA kicked off it's 2008 Race Season in Waco, Texas, and Mother Nature made her presence known, too!  After an off-season filled with a lot of hard work, the Kinsey Racing team debuted Bad Company's new colors.  Friday's Test and Tune had to be cancelled due to high winds.  So Saturday's qualifying rounds had to serve as the first test for Bad Company since it was in the paint booth.  Round 1 of qualifying, Marcus was paired with Jerry Davis in War Party.  Both boats had trouble from the start.  Marcus informed the team that the steering wheel was ninety degrees off, which was the reason for the right turn.  On the second round of qualifying, Bad Company was paired with War Party again, and again Marcus had troubles, but this time the burst panel blew.  The team worked hard getting things ready to race on Sunday, but Mother Nature had other ideas.  Rain started to fall over night and made conditions unsafe for racing.  Everyone had to dig themselves out of the soggy ground to load up and go home without racing on Sunday.

(04/28/08)  the 2008 race schedule has been revised... be sure to mark the calendar and don't miss out on all the action!  NOTABLE CHANGE:  Oklahoma City "Bricktown Nationals" have been CANCELLED... Bryan, Tx has been ADDED July 19-20, 2008 and Chouteau, OK has also been ADDED on August 16-17, 2008.
